Dzus Spring Drill Fixture

Locate your #5 (1″) or #6 (1 3/8″) quarter turn Dzus fastener spring rivet holes with precision. Designed for a 1/8″ drill bit and is designed to fit into tight spaces compared to some of the other fixtures on the market. Why buy a drill fixture that only works on 1 size when you can have 1 tool that does both sizes?

CAUTION: Use the fixture to mark the location of the holes only, don’t drill completely thru using the fixture as it will enlarge the holes over time and the holes can become misaligned.

1. Locate where you want the center of the fastener to be located and drill a 1/8″ pilot hole.
2. Index the pin from the drill fixture into the hole.
3. Rotate the drill fixture until the spring mounting holes are oriented to your liking.
4. Locate and mark the first 1/8″ hole for either a 1″ spring or a 1 3/8″ spring.
5. Remove drill fixture and drill hole completely through material.
6. Reinstall drill fixture.
7. Insert a rivet in the hole you just drilled.
8. Locate and mark the second hole with a drill bit.
9. Remove the drill fixture and drill the second hole.
10. Drill the center hole up to whatever size fastener you are using.
